Doctor Complaint: Various - Orange Park Medical
I arrived at ER at 10am. Put on HUGE!! amounts of Morphine. The surgeon didn't see me until 12noonish then next day... 26 hours later..they did horrendous tests, including a vaginal ultra sound and it was determined that my appendix had already burst... So, you can only imagine the pain that I was in and endured. Dr. came in at noon and said sign here. Took me to surgery, and basically left me with a huge zipper scar and 11+ surgical clips in me. That only one!!! was noted on the surgical report. Now I have adhesions and and abdominal hernia above my belly button. I was a healthy 15-20 mile a week runner... I can't even go to the bathroom without holding my hernia in or it will tear even more.. I was told by too many attorneys, that it' just not worth their fight for me as, the suit would eat up all and then some of any settlement. There was so much gangreen in me that it was called "pearlecent". Talk about gross... $100,000.00, and months of recovery.. and my insurance canceled the day before I was released. The hospital, served me a bill with my last meal before release.. literally!! They put it on the tray with my jello and juice. Trying to harrass me into paying 10 times what my responsibility was. Telling me that I owed, $20,000 when I only owed, $2,000.
