Doctor Complaint: Dr. Fiodaliza Toribio - Town And Country Hospital
I feel the Town and Country Hospital poor care and abuse and inept doctors and nurses caused my fathers death.
I took my father to Town and Country Hospital after a fall. The emergency room xrayed his leg and said good news.. no broken bones. Take him home. I asked for Dad to be admitted for several days just to be sure, as he was not mobile and to further check him out to make sure he had no further injuries.
Next day, I learned there is a 20 day rehab wing available for therapy to get him back on his feet. I tell them he needs to be on oxegen as he primary doctor requires we have him on at home. Repeatedly told by hospital levels were good - no need. I asked they call his primary doctor and was told hospital has their own doctors. Therapy begins with screaming pain, and doctor decides to take another xray - now there are broken bones.They put a brace on Dad's leg and hospital is still pushing therapy. How can you give therapy to a broken leg. In addition, my dad's hands are tied upon arrival to visits - food is sitting cold - untouched. Now worried Dad isn't being fed. Hospital Supervisor assures me she will look into and oversee Dad getting fed. She is there on weekends only. She also talks to nurses.
Hospital loses Dads bottom teeth. Dad's wrist are bruised from tie-downs. Dad is upset. His heart holding up good, but he is 95 years old. Dad is growing weak from stress and losing weight . Dad dies, and I am informed he passed peacefully in his sleep. Dad was monitored on the 3rd floor when admitted, but not the 2nd floor where he died, for therapy. How does the nurse know when he died...or if it was peaceful. My father suffered abuse from Town and Country Hospital.
I called the Medical Examiner's office, and they pick up my Dad for determination of death..........now I am told... the xray at the emergency room
at onset now has somehow disappeared. We bury Dad on Monday........a Flying Tiger Transport team WW2 and Korean war hero.
