Doctor Complaint: Dr. Unimportant - Providence Everett Medical Ctr
The medical care was fine. The administrative portion is non-existent. My mother was transfered, ( as scheduled ),to Providence, Everett on Friday about 11:00am via ambulance. She was not administratively "admitted" and when anyone called about calling or visiting her, ( IE a room # or phone # ), the response was "we do not show her her as a patient. Is there anything else I can do for you ?" The Dr. in charge of her care submitted all requisite documents for her release @ 11:30am Sunday. It took another four hours for her floor R.N. to complete her admission paperwork and then her discharge paperwork, while three of us waited in a 78o room. Subsequently we have not been able to get her extensive medical test results because "Policy" only allows the patient that information. The "Patient" is a critically ill heart patient w/ two E.R. visits in the previous three days. Working with "policy" is beyond frustrating and no/none/0 regard for convenience.
