Doctor Complaint: Na - Mayo Clinic
I received a bill for $301.29 for an office visit on 03/11/10 from the Mayo Clinic. I have never been seen at The Mayo Clinic for any reason in my entire life. I had considered seeing a doctor at the hospital but the accounts department demanded ($5000.00) before I could be seen at the hospital. I also found out they did not accept my insurance so I immediately cancelled any future plans for visiting the hospital. Mayo has continued to request my insurance information and a signed release. I think that someone at the Mayo Clinic is running a scam.

I made a simple request of the following:
A). List of may symptoms
B). List of possible root causes.
C). Tests to be conducted to conform or deny each root cause.
Well, Mayo Clinic refused to send this to me!
This is basic problem solving skills. They should have a documented system for problem solving. Why would they deny me documentation showing how they work through a root cause analysis?
After making this request, Mayo's arrogance got in the way and they sent me a certified letter teminating their sevices to me because I dared to critize their Quality Management System. For people who are commtied to helping inprove peoples lives, this behaviuor is not acceptable.
When I did not get a reply from doctor, I called patient relations. Their repsonse? Why would the doctor respond to me. I complained again to patient afffairs, the Supervisor once again asked why would the doctor respond to you. She said the doctor will not be reponding to me.
Well, I sent a certified letter to the CEO of Mayo Clinic - Dr. Noseworthy.
He refuses to return my call.
This cowardly behaviour by a CEO is disgusting.
Dr, Noseworhty, you cannot hide behing a college degree, job btitle or a locked board room.
Truth and righteoness always wins because it is of Jesus Christ. No man has ever won against it.
I will contacting the BOARD OF TRUSTEES and have faith that the communtiy outside of Mayo will agree that my simple request is justified and that if you trully cared about my health you would not be playing games.

Lets show Hospital CEO's that they should be held accountable for answering to the public for the behaviour of their subordinates and condcuting themselves in an open environment.
