Doctor Complaint: Emergency Room - Watauga Medical Center
I went to Watauga Medical Center Emergency Room for a minor glass cut that required 3 stitches to close. Even with my insurance, I have been charged nearly $1,200.00 that was not covered by my insurance or they didn't file. FOR THREE STITCHES!!! What a rip-off!! I have repeatedly asked for an itemized billing, and have never received one. All I am getting now is collection calls from people from outside of Asheville as well as Charlotte. I have not been able to reach anyone in the hospital in Boone that might help me.
