Doctor Complaint: Jay Morros - Crozer-chester Medical Center
On December 7th, 2011 I went to the ER due to excruciating foot pain. I was subsequently diagnosed with 'peripheral arterial disease and treated/operated on that same day by Dr. Marat Goldenberg. He performed a Right Leg Embolectomy/Angioplasty. He worked on me for 7.5 hours and did a wonderful job! Right down to the placement of the staple sutures which ran from my lower abdomin, through the crotch and continuing down my inner right thigh; followed by another series below my knee and over my right inner calf. I was released a week later and two weeks after that I saw him for a follow up visit; which was both professional and efficient.
upon my initial release from the hospital, I had been placed on a coumadin regiment along with mild pain maintenance medication. I had my blood tested 2X in the month to monitor my inr levels as required for the coumadin. I never had a doctor or primary care physician before, I had never been ill, but Dr. Goldenberg and his staff tried to help.
Toward the end of the month I was not only low on coumadin, but had been dealing with a considerable amount of pain in my foot and lower shin. I had been advised to go to the ER for help to make sure things would remain well and to find a means for regular weekly testing of the blood while on the blood thinner which had been recomended for a minimum period of 3 months.
I went to the ER on 2/14/2012 where I was attended to by the most obnoxious, narcissistic and rude health care worker I had ever met, Dr. Jay Morros! Until the previous November I had never so much as taken an aspirin. (I had always sought natural remedies for any ailments) I had my cousin and mother drive me since I did not know what to expect. I had given blood to be tested and it seemed I would be given a clinic to attend for the weekly testing. The nurse had ask me about the pain and I give him the number relating to my discomfort on a scale to 10, I think I told him an eight and he said he would wait to see the doctor and I told him was not a problem at all and thanked him. Next thing I know, this ass of a doctor returns, ask me if I was a junkie?! and to forget about the coumadin, that after a consult, he says "I was to take 1 325mg aspirin everyday for the rest of my life!" When I began to question why my treatment was to change, I was told: " Thats the new treatment!, Ok?! Follow that now, got it?! I'am the DOCTOR!" he's telling me this with a loud, condescending tone from the hallway as me and my family stare with confusion and bewilderment!!!! I was enraged by this treatment as I was already stressed about my blood getting too thick and me having a stroke or something knowing I was told a 3 month minimum on this regiment. Then he was rude and interrupted my family members as they tried to ask questions out of concern for me and they saw every day what I was going through.
I since obtained a primary care doctor to monitor my health and so fourth, but have also begun a campaign to make people aware of this inexcusable mistreatment by an obnoxious employee of the Crozer Staff.
In Summary: I was interrupted and spoke over when I tried to speak. I was spoke at and down to in a demeaning fashion. I was accused, slandered and insulted when all I sought was support and treatment. I was blamed for being in the situation I was in and creating it. It still infuriates me to this day when I think of how my family and I were treated!
The real sad thing is: until this incident/encounter, I had become fond and grateful for almost everyone I had dealt with during my treatment at this facility. It feels one person has soured and ruined my view and experience of the Crozer-Chester Medical Center. I told my new primary care physician I wish my testing, treatment and future procedures be done elsewhere!
