Doctor Complaint: Linda E Mueller, Md - Edward Hospital

On 5-13-08, Dr. Linda E Mueller, a rather absent-minded Emergency Room physician prescribed me Vicodin (that contains Tylenol) even though I had just spent a half hour telling a nurse all the meds I took (which included 4 grams of Tylenol a day, the maximum dose) for about a half hour that she inputted into their computer. My pharmacist told me this would have killed me in 2 weeks.

In addition, Dr. Linda E. Mueller prescribed me some Flexeril, a muscle relaxer when I was already taking the maximum Dose 36mg total, of Zanaflex, another muscle relaxer.

She obviously made a big mistake with these the prescribing of both of these prescriptions.

This is in my opinion malpractice. I was smart enough to educate myself on medications and ask for a second opinion with my doctor's nurse and talk to my pharmacist about these 2 prescriptions to my pharmacist.

I complained to Pam Davis CEO of Edward Hospital and the Dr. Scaletta, the ER Director (who I hear are married) and they said they would "bring it up at a grievance committee." I'm just wonder if the redness from the slap on the wrist she got was examined at the same incompetent hospital that she works for and why she got away scott free with this. If it had been another patient, she could have done damage.

If anyone knows the proper agency to file a formal complaint, please let me know or forward this additional complaint.

My co-worker was a victim of malpractice from Edward Hospital. When he tried to take them to court, his lawyer told him that Doctors in Dupage county would not stand in witness against their fellow doctors to justify their screw-ups. Unless your case is so obvious that dont need justification then it's a win situation. Otherwise, these SOBs always find the loopholes. So my advice if you need something done, keep away from Dupage doctors.

I enjoyed the post from the Undisclosed complainant (complainer) above. I find the comments ridiculous but still amusing.

A few random thoughts:

I would wager you never finished college (or attended an internet based clown college) due to your poor grammar and sentence structure. I also envision you are either unemployed or have a menial job where you have no true responsibility. Only an uneducated, powerless person would post an anonymous rant with no basis.

I seriously doubt your pharmacist informed you the medication would have killed you in two weeks. A simple internet search debunks that claim. Any pharmacist with any degree of ethics would have reported this matter and it would have been publicly addressed.

And were you taking too many muscle relaxers when you wrote "and talk to my pharmacist about these 2 prescriptions to my pharmacist"? Get a clue. You are trying to tell the world you educated yourself in medical issues when you cannot even educate yourself with grammar, common courtesy and hold down a full time job? If you are so adept at using the internet and educating yourself then you would know that Pam Davis and Dr. Scaletta are not married. Perhaps the place you heard it was your UFO convention, the Slingblade family reunion or some unspecified support group.

Finally, if you can educate yourself and use the internet to conduct such groundbreaking medical research you can Google medical malpractice and derive the name of the organization with which to file a complaint. Perhaps your pharmacist who saved your life from the massive 4 grams of Tylenol overdose can assist you.

If you post on other boards or forums please let me know where to find them. I would enjoy following those same lines of critical thinking you used whenever I need a laugh.

If I have made any comments that you feel are incorrect please list them in an additional post. I will address them one by one. I would have done so here but I realize what level of intellect I am addressing.
