At 11:30 PM I called the oncologist on call at Emory becuase of high fever (104F!!)after chemo treatment. The oncologist on call advised me to go to the ER (Emory), I asked if I havd to mention his name or anything he said, no becuase they are two different departments/buildings (Cancer center and ER).
We arrived at ER, could not stand up, painkiller were making the conditions worst. We were told to filled out a form from a lady behind a glass window. We filled out the form and handed the form towards the lady. She didn;t even aknowledge that we hended the form back and she did not say anything to us so we just stood there. After few MINUTES!! she told us to sit down and wait?!?!?
We waited over 10 minutes and the situation was getting worst so we asked for help and told that we called the oncologist and he told us to come here for help.
The lady barely aknowledge wat we said and told us again to sit down and wait while she was fixing her hair and chatting with someone else next to her of unrelated work matters.
After another 10 minutes wait we decided to leave and go to Northside Hospital and they toke care of us immediately and hospitalized for over 10 days.

We received a call from Emory at 6 AM of the following day, they were looking for us, 6 hours later!?!?!?

Emory University is very well recognized but they really need to fix their admin staff fast, it's people's health they are dealing with.
