Doctor Complaint: N/a - Southern Regional Med Center
I took my fiance to the fire station to get her blood pressure checked and it was 230 over 130 extremely high, I was instructed to take her to the emergency room asap by the EMT at the fire station. I took her to Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale Georgia with the statement of blood pressure reading from EMT once there they told her she had to wait 4 hours,she had pain in her arms and legs and was in extreme pain doubled over in pain. We decided to go to another hospital that was downtown Atlanta this is Grady hospital,suspected to be one of the busiest hospital in Atlanta once there they checked her blood pressure and rushed her to the back stat for immediate attention they told her it was at a very dangerous level and could not believe that Southern Regional Hospital told her to wait 4 hour and that the only way a doctor would see her was if she was not breathing, and on top of that they sent her a bill for 400 dollars and she was never seen or given any treatment or medicine. I was outraged and frustrated and the nurse that we talked to was very unconcerned.
