Doctor Complaint: Dr. David - Christiana Hospital
I was at Christiana care health system over the last three weeks and had a run in with a nurse and doctor before you knew it i was being told that i stuffed from depression and anxiety, so they held me for 24hrs without letting me shave and saying that i needed help because i spoke back to the EM room personnel in a bad manner. So what does this do to my lung transplant due to COPD? So whatever you do don't show your true side. They told me since i been going thru all of this is because it’s due to depression and anxiety when I ask about going home they told me it was up to my Family Doctor and my Family doctor told me it was up to the Hospital Doctors and the Hospital doctors told me it was up to my Pulmonary doctor and when it came down to it all three where saying something totally different to many games at this Hospital. And I tried to reported there conduct and others to the hospital; I filed three complaints only by voice and now thinking about contacting the media. People who suffer from depression or anxiety should seek help as early as possible as they told me to do... And when it was time for me to leave, I ask for a copy of my medical records they told me no, I had known rights to see anything in writing as I told her it was my right to have the paper work as long as I signed the release forms for the request, the nurse Lisa RN said point blank if I had become an expert on patient bill of rights and I said only my own.

In my opinion, the staff at Christiana Care Health System has no respect for its patients. They really need to educate their staff about patients’ bill of rights because we all have right. And one more thing about doctors just walking into your room and billing you for not even looking at you has to be stopped they shake your hand and leave and bill your insurance company and then send you a bill also.

Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience... however.. dont slam everyone and the entire system!
Christiana Hospital and the Hem/Onc floor saved my life several times in 1994! Without the caring staff, nurses and doctors alike, I wouldnt be alive.
So dont blame an entire system for your bad experience and your bad attitude.
