Doctor Complaint: Mikal - Sullivan County Community Hosp
My son who is an emancipated adult and has been living on his own since June 2008 gave his friend a ride to this hospital, upon arrival the nurse insisted that he get checked out also, he refused treatment and she told him he had no choice. She then tried to contact me and by doing so contacted 4 other individuals and told them that he had a life threatening condition and was unconcious and unresponsive and a few other medical conditions that she shouldn't have been calling around telling random people, ( which none of it was the case he was fine). When I called her back she told me simply that he was there and just needed a ride home. I did not give concent and couldn't have.
They were very rude when I got there and insisted that I had to give my information eventhough he had informed them that he was responsible and did not live with me. I informed them that he is responsible for his bill that he was emancipated two years ago.
My son also informed me that a young employee who had been working that night had also had inappropriate behavior with him rubbing her breast on him, when we were ready to leave, she made a few inappropriate remarks and smacked his rear end then winked at him.
I have tried to work with them on this and they will not bill the correct person, My son has never received a bill even after I sent them and called them with his information, they are insisting I pay his bill. I was turned over to collections. I have wrote to the hospital board concerinig everything and they will not return my calls or acknowledge my letter. I do have wittnesses to the Hippa violations from the parties that she contacted that evening. and my Son is also going to be filing a complaint against the hospital as well. We do not want to file a complaint against the Doctor because he was the only one who was proffessional!! I have never been put threw anything so horrible in my life!! I have summed up the events of that night, but there is a lot more detail to it, I just summed it up to the shortest version possible.
