I drive to UMass Marlborough, MA hospital on May 1st 2010 at time 3:00AM and was scared because I had a bad breathing problems. I went to ER I had a hard time talking and felt like someone was chocking me and left hung hurt. When they decide to let me in the ER room bed was dirty and Nurse said "sorry about that made the bed very fast did not wait for two minutes for germs to die on the bed before putting on new flat sheet. They told me to take off my hooded zipper front sweatshirt and gave me open back gone. Left the room I glad i brought my bag with me since I brought my own chatham acrylic blanket made in USA that had satin binding on it. I called the hospital before I went to the hospital tell theme I am in route. I did not get a blanket into the DR and Nurse can in the room. She brought over two heated blankets that felt like sand paper 3 hours of waiting for treatment and Xray was done around 5:00AM. I did not check out into 7:00AM.

I wish hospital emergency room would put blankets on the bed nice merino wool or acrylic blanket so i did not need to take my blanket out of my bag since i did not have my full strength.

Nurse complain how busy it is. I was told when I called not busy at all. What is going in ER emergence room when they told me on the phone not busy when they are busy. Also asked do you have blankets they said yes no blanket on ER bed emergency room why not.

I plan to bring two blankets in next time i was cold and blanket clams me when scared not sure is happen to me.

Also will not forget that old later next time kept hitting that buzzer and nurse to come to here rescue.

The medical Director James needs to fix his ER service to be better. To make sure patience get blankets soft ones and make sure the beds are clean before walking a patience in the room. He says he does the same things is this a Health concern. Since I could have new disease know then before.

I would pay extra for a better blanket since I had $100 on me for emergence and credit cards. I would wanted better service and all people deserve to have clean bed sheet and blanket on it when you check in for Emergence room. I do not care about the TV they have Emergence room this is not a hotel but should be warm and focus you mind moving you hands or legs to focus away the pain. A soft blanket does that for me. I been to this UMASS Marlborough Hospital since 1977 and been there 6 times have been bad. Please fix your service the internet is powerful.

No blanket on er bed when I was in ER room either no sheet either. Hope they improve the service in Emergence Room at Umass Marlborough Hospital. Wonder if these staff people understand what a real blanket is. Like nice merino wool blanket or acrylic blanket with a satin binding.

Still does not chnage today no soft blankets and no blankets on beds. When will hospital UMass Memorial Marlborough and Worcester give better care. Why is blankets so short hand at hospitals. Why is it hospitals do not want to give patiences blankets on the ER bed. Fix hospitals supplies on blankets.

This hospital is honestly disgusting. I came here because my fiance has cancer and has been going through chemo, his temp spiked high today so the last step was to bring him in. Chemo patients are very sensitive to germs and infections, etc. We come into the "private, steril room" to fin blood on the walls and the dirtiest floor I've ever seen in a hospital. I actually wet a paper towel and wiped the floor with my foot, just to give them the benefit of the dout to see if it was just stained, nope, dirty. I wish I could upload a photo of this so called Steril room and show you how incredable and not so steril it actually is. Honestly, what is going on here, Hospitals are supposed to be clean and steril, right?

He is also cold, the AC is on full blast, do or did they EVER offer him a blanket? Nope, I asked for one and they told me no since he has a temp. Its been 2 hours since we got here, the Dr didn't even check his temp to make sure he's not rising above a dangerous level as he was previously. I am so apauled and don't know what to do or where to take this, this comment will not be the end of this. We have been in this disgusting room for hours and not one person has advised us of what we are waiting for, no fluids have been given, no blankets have been offered...NOTHING. How would these nurses that are sitting there talking about movies and sleep overs feel if this was their loved one going through a tough time and feeling the worst in their life? I'm disgusted, annoyed, appauled,amazed, and angry at Marlborough hospital's ER, nurses, and Drs and will NEVER be back nor will I EVER recommend this ER to others.

One nice man, triage nurse that admitted us actually showed he cared and was empathetic to His condition.

After all of this frustration, waiting, we are most likely going to Worcester ER. Never again. This is crazy.
