Went to Southern Regional Hospital in Jonesboro, Georgia for a lab - blood draw (rapamue) for my husband. The clerk took 20 minutes to find the paperwork which was faxed in the week before. She gave us a number and asked us to sit down. There were two patients in the waiting area. We waited for 30 minutes and she called my husband by is name back to the window. I told her the information on the form was incorrect concerning his insurance and I pointed to the information which was incorrect three times. She became louder each time and did not seem to understand. I asked for the supervisor and pointed out the incorrect information and she did not seem to understand as well. She became loud also and the patients in the waiting area began to be interested in what we were saying. The supervisor could not comprehene or understand that the paitent was no longer on Blue Cross Blue Sheild and just Medicare they made us feel very embarress and unconfortable.
We left to seek services somewhere else. Even thou this hospital is 2 miles from our home we will not be using this facility in the future. In the pass we had tried to use this facility being that my husband is a heart transplant but we will use another facility located north of Atlanta [St Joseph's Hospital] 41 minutes and 30.12 miles from our house. We have been to this hospital time and time again and this treatment of patients is very unsatisfactory. I think JCAHO news to know about this hospitals standards and performance or Hipaa.

I was waiting on line and when it was my turn the administrator told me to hold on..and 15 min went by and i was having chest pains and asthma attack, i had to leave and find another hospital my husband drove me to cobb wellstar in marietta, horrible hospital and prior to this one the doctor gave me a medication apart of the penicillin family knowing i was allergic to that, never going back if i can help it horrible, horrible, horrible. Would not recommend to my worse enemy.
