Doctor Complaint: Eiline - Unity Hospital
If you are looking for a detox center for your addictions, DO NOT go to Unity Hospital in Fridley, MN. My "counselor" Eiline was totally ignorant about addiction. She has never been addicted and thinks her small amount of education makes her qualified. Both my roomate and I were given the wrong dosage of medications which we began to watch dilligently. Eiline took her patients in group and concentrated on breaking their spirits. Of course, in rehab, your spirits are already broken, but she took great pride in making people feel bad. The schedule is sparse, with very little time with staff. They left you by yourself a good portion of the day and that is not a good place for an addict/alcoholic. The showers are terrible. You must push a button to get water which lasts about ten seconds. I have been in rehab before and this is, by far, the worst facility I have ever been in. Sad, because they have nice facilities. And watch out for the "72 hour hold". They use that to get back at those who speak there minds.
