conway hospital in myrtle beach, sc is completely incompetent processing insurance claims. They made a mistake filing medicare which caused a delay in processing. They filed supplement insurance before medicare paid, so supplement insurance did not pay. When medicare did pay, the billing dept at CONWAY HOSPITAL flat out refused to re-submit supplement insurance for remainder of bill. They refused even after I called and explained that supp. insurance picks up remainder only after medicare pays their part. I asked Conway Hospital numerous times to re-submit supp. insurance but they were rude and told me to do it myself. They sent me to 2 collections agencies, which I supplied with proof that Conway Hospital dropped the ball. They knew I had legitimate claim, but refused to take care of it, even when I faxed them proof. The collection agency basically told me I was right, but too bad, I still have to pay or they would ruin my credit rating. They never had a problem with my insurane before. It only takes one lazy, incompetent employee not to do their job to cause someone with multiple sclerosis a lot of stress, depression and loss of hair. Instead of helping a patient, they try to kill you with harassment and incompetence, bullying, threatening tactics. Shame on Conway Hospital!! One more note, how can any hospital tell you they dont accept your insurance and only file it as a courtesy, after the fact, without even telling you before hand. Dont they get money from state and federal gov????? When does it end.....I would like to know who was working in billing May 2009???? Lazy slob!!
