Doctor Complaint: Dr David Yuh - Johns Hopkins Hospital

I recently had successful heart surgery at Johns Hopkins. The care I received both in the ICU and at the Cardiac Progressive Care area called Nelson 6 was terrible. The nurses-doctor Nelson 6 interaction was slow, leaving me in great pain and anxiety until a doctor could be found. Even then they seemed to have lost the paperwork from my own doctor regarding specific needs, so Nelson 6 was more like Hades.

Dr David Yu was my cardiac surgeon 3 years ago. If it weren't for him, I would not be alive. He was fantastic, before during and after care for myself and my family. He deserves the highest praise and would strongly recommend him. The staff in Nelson 6 were gracious, caring, knowledgeable and extremely efficient.

John Hopkins is one of the best cardiac hospitals in the country - if you're in doubt, do your homework and investigate. You won't be disappointed! I believe any complaints that begin with " I recently had successful heart surgery at John Hopkins" should be a clue that they must know what they're doing. Whoever wrote such a complaint should realize how lucky they are to be waking up each morning - sad to think they aren't looking at the whole picture.
