It is outrageous to see how this hospital dismissed my mother, who is terminally ill, to a hospice without ever giving importance to my mom's will of living, regardless of the results of endless tests and the doctors prognosis, which were never accurate as my mother's will to survive surpassed all of them. The bottom line-doctors do make mistakes. Nevertheless, doctor's and hospital's staff lack of compassion and condescending attitude forced my family and my mother to accept a too early discharge order to face an unfair and horrible death at a hospice. Mom is still showing proof she wants to live. Convulsions have not damaged her brain or her body at all. She talks, she recognizes all, she laughs, she cries, she makes jokes when not in pain. In few words, her will to live is stronger. Hospice's regulations are just so harsh when the patient wishes to continue fighting for her life. My mom was discharged too soon. The hospital refused to continue treatment and forced my mom to be placed in a hospice to be sedated entirely to prevent her from ever having a chance of recovery. I know deep down in her heart and soul she is still fighting to survive, but the hospital sentenced her to an earlier death.
