I called Hackettstown Community Hospital's billing department before I could schedule a Mammogram exam. The person there was emphatic that she could not give me an indicative price! And this for a normal routine exam that they do daily!!! What a sham, what a scam!!

And the exam was undertaken without us knowing remotely how much the exam would cost! Why cannot a hospital "of repute" provide basic indicative costs for a normal exam?

This is why people like me who have seen healthcare practice overseas wish some offshore healthcare company come in to US and run these health businesses to the ground!!

I got stung by a bee, I was painful, I went in the emergency room because it was Sunday.( Vista Medical Center East at Greenwood Ave
Waukegan, IL 60087- 5136)
I was waitting for 30 minutes, and I saw the doctor for less than 10 minutes, he told the nurse ti give me 2 tylenol and take my blood pressure and then discharged me right way after saying that it would be ok.
I got the bill for $1200.00 for seeing the doctor less than 10 minutes and for taking tylenol?
please avoid going to this Hospital after reading my case
