Doctor Complaint: Sonogram Technician "philip" - Contra Costa Reg Medical Ctr
At the county hospital in Contra Costa County for poor,uninsured people, I was given a breast sonogram by a male technician. When I asked for a female technician I was told it would take weeks for me to get an appointment. I was too scared I had cancer to wait. I assumed there would be a nurse present, but no chaperon or female was present during the exam, nor was I offered one. I was totally traumatized and had to seek counseling.
