Doctor Complaint: Do Not Know - Beverly Hospital

My mother has cancer and hasn't been able to eat for 1 week, she vomits everything that touches her mouth. We took her to the Beverly Hospital since this is the only hospital her insurance covers because this is the hospital her Oncologist belongs to. We waited 3 hrs for blood work, 6 hours for CT Scan and 12 hrs for her to get a room. Once she did get a room, the Dr. walked in and out 2 times and hardly gave us any information, all the information he gave us we knew which was my mother has cancer, we needed to find out why she is vomiting and not able to eat I told him. He heard his name in the hallway and ran out and never came back this was a hispanic doctor with a spanish last name on the night of the 8th of April. We asked the nurse if my mother was going to be admitted she said let me ask the Dr. she came back 5 minutes later and said the Dr. left but she is staying. My mother has been admitted since the 8th of April and hasn't left. She is strictly on a liquid diet and everyday that passes they don't find a piece of information that comes closer to a diagnoses. She had a scope down her throat to her stomach on Monday to see if there was any obstruction causing the throwing up, they didn't give us a clear yes or no answer as to whether a blockage was the problem. Yesterday she was to have a procedure done where they put a camera and they view it's course. She hadn't eaten in 12 hours and I overheard the technician tell the nurse that the machines were down and that the group patients waiting for procedures to be done was rediculously large. I asked her if my mother can have something to eat, she said no. I called her 2 hours later and asked her again, she said she will call the Dr. I called her back another 2 hours later and she raised her voice and said, "this is not going to work, you are not understanding". I asked her, "it's rediculous that my mother not eat since they are not testing her today". She finally called the Dr. and he told her to feed her some Jello and juice, she works in the 5th floor and her name is Kathy, older person with no patience. The staff has no bedside manners, the doctors walk in and ask, "any pain?" If my mother has no pain they say ok and walk out, if she says yes they say ok and walk out. On the first day the admiting person asked if my mother was allergic to anything, we said yes codeine/morphine. Every nurse/Dr. asks her the same question everyday. When they took her in for her procedure they asked her again, they asked why she didn't have a wrist band with the allergic to: information, my mother said, "I don't know I don't work here you do, I don't know your procedures and rules". The tech said, "o my god you need to have that someone could accidentally give you codeine/morphine and you can get sick". Also on day 1 they had a 3 month old baby on a hospital bed in the hallway, she had pneumonia and was out in the open where she was exposed to all the sick people. Worse than that all the staff, nurses and Dr.s wrote their notes on paper towels and napkins. What kind of hospital is this? I understand that this hospital is in the poor side of town but there is no reason for staff to offer patients poor service. If I could pull my mother out of this hospital I would in a second, but if I did at any other hospital would have to start from scratch since they don't take other hospitals procedures into concideration.

went to visit my mother today again, it's been 1 week exactly that she has been there. She has not had a bath or a sponge bath since she's been there. Also, no results still, I asked the Dr. and he said perhaps tomorrow. All their equipment is old and needs updating.
