I have been taking my pet scans and bones scans evry 3 months in this hospital since I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Stage IV.
In March 2011 I had my regular scans Bones Scan, Chest Scans, and ABD Scan, the hospital is sending me letters about the payment, saying my insurance didnt authorize the scans, I have the authirization at home, I always keep them with my medical records, and Baptist Hospital never, ever does any treatment or study without authorization. Now they are asking me to fix the problem, thats no my job Hellooooooo!!!!!

On June 17, 2011 I had a new appointment for Bone Scan, Chest Scan, and ABD Scan all of them need differents contrast like shots, iodine, and smoothies. I had really bad reactions but is normal (I'm not complaining about it) When I went to my appointment I asked them if hey got the authorization from my insurance and asked them for a copy of it. They gave me one. They did the scans and I left. When I got the results the surprise was THEY FORGOT TO DO THE CHEST SCAN, when they always do chest and ABD together. Now I have to take iodine again and be in bed for few days because of the reaction of my body to iodine
I called them and I made a new appointment. Today they called me asking me for the authorization!!!!!!!!! what kind of game are we playing???????????? Please!!!! this is unaceptable. What is the problem with the authorizations????? They put it on files or in the trash cans???? You try to talk with the employees and they are like robots or recorder machines, always the same "the computer says" they don't listen to you, they just repeat like parrots, they have 0 brain

This is the last time I will use Baptist Hospital, it is all about money and they dont care about patients, I'm dying and I have to be working for them
