Doctor Complaint: Dr. Laura Reese - Our Lady Of Bellefonte Hosp
Had a knee arthoscopy for a torn lateral and medial meniscus about 5 weeks ago.
Still having alot of problems and when I addressed these issues the Dr. got very rude and changed the subject and said she was leaving the room to get papers to write a script for therapy and never returned into the room,made one of her nurses come in and hand it to me.
The most and worst bedside manner I have ever witnessed in my life.
She was nice and friendly to get me to have the surgery,but now that I had it she doesnt want to deal with my recovery process?..I mean I seriously could not believe my eyes when the nurse came in and said you are done and I spoke to the dr. for maybe 3 mins if that.
I was also never warned of possible post-op problems that could occur she told me it was a simple procedure and would be completely healed in 4 to 6 wks..which is a total lie..
I have read posts by numerous people who still have problems and it's been over a year and she never once mentioned any issues to me that could happen.
My knee,leg and foot are constantly swollen and my leg goes numb and falls asleep and this was brought up to her at my appointment which she completely blew off.
She did not refer painmanagement,she did not offer for me to have a brace..and worst part is she put me back to work even though I told her all these problems and according to my job they knew I was coming back to work before I even went to that appointment..and how the heck would she know I was ok to go back to work when she didnt even see me?..
This is a doctor I picked because I believed in her and she toally just reuined my faith in any doctor ever again..So her goal is to get money out of workers comp by having me believe I need this surgery and then just throwing me back to them because she is done with me..makes me sick..
I tried calling other doctors and no one will take me because she worked on me and now I'm just stuck trying to figure out what am I going to do now?..I cant straighten my leg fully..my knee cap gets locked up and I can barely get up and down when I am sitting and she doesnt care and now I feel like some sort of knee surgery refugee that is lost feeling like theres no hope and I will suffer for the rest of my life because I cant find a doctor who cares to help me to get better..
I have even called the office asking them to refer me to someone else the office manager never calls me back and I can't believe that anyone can get away with treating a patient this way?!!
I wish I would of never had this surgery..my knee is worse then it was before I had it..
