Doctor Complaint: Wasn't Given - Johns Hopkins
I took my spouse to the ER @ Johns Hopkins with a stiff neck that he had ongoing for 5 days and it was not improving it was getting worse and he was in alot of pain. We arrived @ 2:00PM 5/16/2010. There were no rooms available so we sat in the entrance hall from 2:00PM 5/16-8:00AM 5/17/2010. We were attended by the charge nurse that was extemely rude her name is Theresa Mann and she said that she was the chrrge nurse. We were also attended by a medial student who checked my husbands vitals but neglected to notice or even look at his hand as he had had hand surgery on 5/4/2010 and his left hand was bandaged. At approximately 2:00AM on 5/17/2010 a cat scan was performed and my husband was then moved to a bed in the same area (the hall). At approximately 8:00am 5/17/2010. The er doctor came and gave us the results of the cat scan. The ER doctor said that there was no problem with the neck no infection from the hand surgery, and oh yea!, by the way you have an anuerym in the left front lobe of your brain, THIS NEWS WAS PRESENTED TO US IN THE HALL. At that point we choose to leave. The care @ Hopkins ER is just totally horrid. There was an altercation in the waiting area where security had to wrestle a guy to the ground the man had his pants around his ankles, the police brought in gang shooting casulties, there were police detectives hanging around. There was a person in hand cuffs brought in from the city jail that was sick there were homeless people sleeping in the waiting area. I will never ever go to Johns Hopkins again never give then a dime of my money. BET ON IT. My husband has an appointment with a neurosurgeon tomorrow Ben Carson is not the only name in town.
