Watauga Medical Center Negligent, Abusive and just plain EVIL!
At the end of May, I went to the ER at Watagua Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina due to excruciating pain to my chest and lower right side. I was taken back to a room at the ER and put on IV and pain medication. I was then taken to X-ray and then over to have a CT scan done.
The results showed fluid in my right lung and my oxygen level was low. Watauga then done urine test and found blood in my urine.
Watauga medical said that they didn't know what was going on - other words, they didn't give me any diagnosis. And, although I was in severe pain (unable to use the rest room without help) Watauga sent me on my merry way. They said it could possible be a kidney stone (Despite having pain in the chest and having a low oxy level) They gave me pain medication to cover up the pain that I was experiencing. But refused to try and diagnose the pain.
This went on several weeks. I went back to the ER about a week later due to the same severe pain. Once again, they couldn't find the problem but sent me on my merry way after giving me some pain medication. Again no diagnosis. Finally at the end of May, I went back after my employer refused to let me work after almost passing out. Again, I was in severe pain and once again, the ER staff at Watauga medical was going to send me home.
This time, my wife refused to take me home until they found the problem. After I stayed a night, I was determined that I had abscessed pockets in and around my lung.
This is due to having not being treated or diagnosed the first time I went to Watagua medical center.
Watagua Medical Center was unable to treat the condition after I was finally admitted ( After going to the ER 3 times and turned away - over the course of the month of May)
I was taken by ambulance to Baptist in Winston. I ended up spending 23 nights there. Had extensive surgery and numerous other things done to get the infection out that was caused by the fluid in my lung that Watagua Medical Center ignored the first time I went to them begging for help in the beginning of May.
When asked by staff at Baptist hospital when this pain began and what I done - I explained how I went to the ER at Watauga Medical Center when it began over a month prior. The staff was shocked to learn that Watauga neglected me and my pain to the point at which it had reached by the time I ended up in Baptist.
Today, I decided speaking up after receiving a bill in the mail from Watauga Medical Center for over 3000.00 - Now, I am expected to pay for Watauga Mecial's negligence and all the pain and suffering that I experienced for their incompetence.
It is sad that Watauga Medical Center is even in business. But even sadder to see people experiencing mis-diagnosis and no-diagnosis at the hands of inexperienced and incompetent physicians.
In the mean time, I will start looking for an Attorney and hold them accountable for the pain and suffering I experienced. It was just plain negligenc for them to release someone suffering from a '10' level pain without knowing where it was coming from - But wait, The first time I went to them, They knew I had fluid in my lungs and my oxy was low. What would that tell most reputable medical staff??
It obviously didn't mean anything to Watauga Medical Center as they sent me home without antibiotics *(Just pain medication) and allowed the fluid and infection to spread.
They ignored it not only the first time to the ER - But a second time a week later and started to a third time 4 weeks later!!!
Watauga medical center ignored those medical test and thanks to them and their ignorance, I suffered.
I am looking forward to receiving their bills (Bills for negligence is what I think of them)
Its time that I share my experience with millions. With the use of Youtube.com, CNNS' iReport.com, News release services and websites which are about as cheap as dirt along with flyers, paid adverts - I can and will tell everyone my story and hopefully everyone with any sense will stay far away from Watauga medical center.
If nothing else, I hope that people don't have to experience all the pain that I experienced and went through due to Watauga's negligent staff. It is terrible but it is even worse to know that some people, elderly and other people experience this all the time but are unable to do as I can by speaking up and warning other potential customers.
Beware of Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina! (Well, unless you want to be ignored by doctors) which will result in spending weeks in a hospital who has to clean up from Watauga's mistakes. At your expense of course.

If you attempt to infringe on my constitutional rights by not allowing me to tell others, Please be aware that I will be prepared.
