My name is Adam Worrell from Roulette,PA. i would like to to file a bias and prejudicial complaint agaianst Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport,PA. as i have signed a records transfer paper to one of their new doctors and the regional director sent them a note stating that they would not accept me as patient, now leaving me without a PCP. there reason is becuase in recent months , since october 19th , i have developed nerve ,muscle, and spinal damage that puts me in excrutiating pain on a daily basis ,. i have been to the emergency room on several occasions for treatment, on 2 occasions the pain was terrible and as had been there a few times , i was being accused of drug seeking or being an addict several times , on those occasions i got rude and beligerent and ignorant admittedly , and had agruments with the doctors and nurses. never done anything but agrued and raised my voice , unfortuntunately I am apparently a very loud boisturous person , with no intent i apparently intimidated a couple of the employees , again not my intent i just wanted pain relief and also to not be criticized as a drug addict. . I have on several occasions apologized many time to the staff for my outbursts , but at tthe same time i can not even begin to stress the amount of pain i have been in for the past 6 months the closest example i can give is that of having several knives stuck in my shoulder, neck ,chest ,and back at the same time, pretty much all day ,day in and day out everyday.so yes unforrtunately between the pain and the accusatiuons my mouth has got the better of me a couple times. i have even started seeing a therapist to try to help me with the stress ,anxiety and anger issues. at any rate my last PCP was a doctor from wellsboro,pa which is nearly 60 miles from my home , becuase of the inconvience of the distance and location , and the rising costs of gas , i chose to try to find another PCP , as CCMH has recently brought in a new physician i decided to trans fer over to her. I was told by the secretaries that she was indeed excepting new patients and they told me to stop by and sign transfer of records paper. So I did and also filled out the brief medical history forms for them and they told me as soon as the got the records they would call to set up the initial appointment. on april 19th i stopped at the office and secretary informed that they had recieved most of the records , but they had aslo recieved an email from the regional director telling them that the facilty would not accept me as a patient for the above reasons , affectively leavinf me without a PCP in the middle of a physical medical problem. The pain managment doctor that has begun treating me, i now find out is leaving aftermy 4th , which will leave me with out a doctor to help me all together. as i have said i have admitted to me faults and wrong doings and have apologized to all parties involved , but still find that i am being blackballed becuase of some annoying outbursts. unfortunately in our area Charles Cole hospital is the closest most convient place for treatment , all other hospitals are 40 plus miles away. in my opinion and others , their reasons are biased and prejudice because they punishing me becuase i had a bad attitude a couple times. i have even made a point of refusing written perscriptions more than 90 percent of the time as to show that i am not seeking drugs , that i just wanted to know what the problems was and to get some relief from the pain , even for a short period of time. after nearly 6 months i finally got into see a pain management specialist and she has since found out the extent of the problem. most of which at this time cannot be corrected or resolved medically. other than spinal injections to relieve the pain for 2 to 6 weeks at a time. I talked to Marty Causer our local state represenative. and am issueing the same complaint to them as a matter of fact i will print this letter and give a copy to him also. bottom line is i really just want the issue resolved and be allowed to have a doctor in the immediate vicinity to be my PCP, with not working and the cost of fuel nowadays i really need some forms of convience !
