Doctor Complaint: Dr. Meeson - St Mary's Hospital & Med Ctr
Took my son in for a bump on his head. He is a severe hemophiliac and has many internal bleeds, transfusions, stroke and internal cranial bleeding. They gave him 4mg of ativan along with a lrge amount of ketamine to supposedly calm him down. The next day he had noodle legs and was still grabbing at the air. He was, after a fight with the hospital released to be airlifted to Denver who after a week diagnosed him with overdose of ativan from the information they looked up. I went to the hospital to get his records and had to fight for hours to get them. Finally the records I got do not match the dosage of ativan given and the rest of the medications were listed with dosage except the Ativan and doctor who treated him. My son still can not walk well and I am angry. Going to thenewsso this doesn't happen to anyone else. Thank you, Shauna
