Doctor Complaint: Phoenix Childrens Hospital - Phoenix Children's Hospital

i have been fighting with the hospital for undisclosed fees for over six months. I knew that my insuracne would not pay for my childs MRI.
i asked on several occasions what the cost would be and was told $1400. after paying the amount i was billed an additonal $840.00 for a recovery room charge not disclosed even though the hospital knew it would be charged. Now i am fighting a collection.

make sure you ask many questions about any care they provide esspecially since they just complete a $500,000,000 improvment....they are in need of funds.

We took our daughter to the Phoenix Children's Hospital East Valley Urgent Care facility one evening when she was showing signs of strep throat. The sign on the door says URGENT CARE. She tested positive for strep and we were on our way. Now because of a "known contract issue" between PCH and our insurance company, BCBS, we are being billed for EMERGENCY ROOM services, not the actual urgent care services we received. The co-pay difference is $200 for ER and $35 for urgent care...why should I be stuck with the difference for an issue that they previously knew about but failed to disclose to me upon check-in? I would have made the choice to take her elsewhere. Shame on you PCH! I will NEVER take my children back to any of their facilities again, and I will tell everyone I know not to take their kids there as well.
